A Natural Root Cause Treatment for Anxiety
Acupuncture is an effective treatment choice for Anxiety. Anxiety affects people in different ways. For some people it may be a general sense of unease and apprehension. However for some people it will be more severe and prevent them from going places, and meeting people and living the life they really want to live. Another way anxiety can manifest is through Panic Attacks , in which case the fear of having another Panic Attack can itself create a lot of Anxiety. Whatever the situation maybe for you, Acupuncture can help treat the Anxiety. Lifestyle Guidance and Nutritional advise are also important parts of my treatment plan as they will help to prevent the Anxiety from returning and help you to live a more healthy, happy and fulfilling life.
Anxiety occurs as a result of an imbalance in the body. Acupuncture works to restore balance in the body and thus relieve the Anxiety. Imbalance can occur as a result of different lifestyle habits such as overthinking or overworking. One such imbalance is that of Heart and Spleen Qi and Blood Deficiency. This imbalance often occurs as a result of overthinking and worrying which weakens the Spleen and Heart. Other symptoms of this imbalance along with anxiety may be insomnia, palpitations, shortness of breath, poor appetite, stomach discomfort or tiredness. Acupuncture will help to resolve all of these symptoms, not just the anxiety as it will bring the body and mind back into balance.
Another imbalance in the body that can create anxiety is Kidney Yin Deficiency. This imbalance often occurs as a result of overworking . ie. constantly on the go, and not taking time in your day for resting and taking breaks. Other symptoms of this imbalance can be weak or sore lower back, night sweating, dry skin, dizziness and tiredness. Lifestyle and nutritional advise, along with Acupuncture will also be given to correct this imbalance. For example certain foods are particularly good at restoring Kidney Yin , such as Beans , Fish , and Seaweed.
